How a Shandong-based startup grew into one of China's leading used vehicle export operations — and why we do what we do.

ShiTong Auto Service was founded in 2020 with a simple observation: overseas dealers wanted access to China's competitively priced used vehicles, but the process was fragmented, opaque, and risky. You'd need a sourcing agent in one city, an inspector in another, a customs broker at the port, and a freight forwarder you'd never met. Too many hands. Too many unknowns. Too much can go wrong.

We built a company that eliminates that fragmentation. From our base in the Alibaba Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park in Dongping, Tai'an, Shandong Province, we manage the entire chain — sourcing, inspection, documentation, container loading, and shipping coordination — under one roof. One contact person. One process. One point of accountability from the moment you inquire to the moment the vehicle arrives at your port.

We are a nationally registered used vehicle export enterprise, holding a complete set of MOFCOM-issued export qualifications. We were among the first batch of approved used car export pilot companies in Shandong Province — a credential that required meeting strict capital, facility, and compliance thresholds. Today, we serve over 300 dealer partners across 38 countries, with over 12,000 vehicles exported since our founding.

Our name — 世通 (ShiTong) — means "connecting the world." That's not marketing language. It's the reason the company exists.

Common Questions

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
No strict MOQ. We work with dealers ordering single units for testing and established importers ordering 50+ units per shipment. For first-time buyers, we recommend starting with 1–3 units to verify our process and quality before scaling up.
What payment methods do you accept?
T/T (bank wire transfer) is our primary method. For larger orders, L/C (letter of credit) is available. Standard flow: ~$1,000 reservation deposit → 50% after inspection approval → remaining 50% upon or before arrival at destination port.
What trade terms do you offer (FOB/CIF)?
We offer FOB (Qingdao/Shanghai/Tianjin) and CIF (to most major ports). FOB means you arrange freight from the Chinese port; CIF means we handle freight and insurance to your destination. We recommend CIF for first-time buyers.
How are shipping costs calculated?
Shipping depends on destination, vehicle size, and method (sea vs. rail). Typical ranges: $800–$1,500/vehicle to Southeast Asia, $1,200–$2,500 to Middle East/Africa, $1,000–$2,000 to Central Asia by rail. Detailed breakdown provided before commitment.
How does the 50% bridge financing work?
After confirming the inspection report, you pay 50%. We bridge the remaining 50% and start export logistics immediately. Final settlement upon arrival at your port. 300+ dealers have used this program — it's the main reason they come back.
What is the 90-day buyback guarantee?
Within 90 days of purchase, if the vehicle has no accident or major damage and you are unsatisfied, we buy it back at the agreed price. Processed within 3 business days. This is standard policy — not a limited-time promotion.
Can I visit your facility before placing an order?
Yes. We welcome factory visits to our Dongping yard in Tai'an, Shandong. We can arrange airport pickup from Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport (1.5 hours away). Many of our long-term partners visited in person before their first order.
Can imported vehicles be registered in my country?
Most countries allow used car registration with proper documentation. Policies vary by jurisdiction. We provide complete compliance paperwork — inspection report, certificate of origin, export declaration — to assist with your local registration.
